Misunderstanding

I have always wondered how can 2 people who claim to be "such good friends" fall in the trap of being misunderstood by each other and part ways. sometimes never to meet/speak again? Does this mean that the relation was weak from before but not apparent to the eye? Or does it mean that the time has come to allow a natural death to the so called 'friendship' that once existed? or does it mean that the purpose of that person's existence in your life is now over and hence its time to move on?

I think in the first case it usually means that both the parties were aware that maybe something was not right between them underneath all the camaraderie, but both parties kept a good face till the time came to say goodbye!

In the second case, the cause could be possessiveness/ betrayal or even the lack of space all of which occurs as the relation starts maturing. I believe this is the most tricky stage where all our emotions come into play and create a turbulence. So its therefore up to either party, whether they want to make an effort and swim for the shore or let the waves wash them apart!

In the third case, it could only mean that one of the parties was a fair weather friend who had become a part of a life only for a reason. Alternatively it could also mean that the person had come to help us during our time of need, so in such a scenario such a person would be an angel sent to earth just for us.

But whatever the reason for parting ways......life is about moving on and making new friends.....who knows the next one might stay with you forever?
